A Maxon RE10 motor turned up today.
I have another project on the bench.
The next will to be to make an adaptor for the RE10 to fit into the ALCo.

regards Ron

Indeed he has; I had not looked for it before but have made a donation now. If everyone who uses Peter's work via his website made a modest donation it would no doubt help him a lot.

Cheers, John

I spoke to PJV and he said the host server in USA had a minor problem for a day, but is now up and running normally. Anyone who still cannot access it needs to look at their own computer. He also says he has a donations tab on his home page, although it is rarely used!

I'm watching this with interest as I too need a good station building.

Doesn't work for me:

The webpage at http://www.pjv101.net/index.htm might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

This link still works. I will talk to PJV during the week and suggest he add a 'Patreon' link to his site. That way people who appreciate it can send him a donation. Or does anyone know a better system?

John - perhaps some sort of link for donations via pay pal and then a periodic call to arms.

We - ie the Victorian railways modelers and historians should make sure all three sites are captured by the National Libraries Pandora project for archiving websites in order protect all that valuable historical information.

No probs, Ron. I have had nearly my day's quota of same by now!

Re the URL, my Firefox home page is simply a list of sites I visit a lot. Each is a hyperlink so it does depend on the links being up to date.

Sorry John, I must have had a seniors moment.

I have always gone into pjv the long way. Just type his name into google and the links come up.

Ron.

Yes Ron, Mark Bau's site does (thank goodness!). We were discussing the lack of response at Peter Vincent's site but Zec has shown us a work-around. IainS has reminded us again of how we rely on and perhaps take for granted such sites. Remember the wailing and gnashing of teeth when Mark Bau's site went awol for a while!?

A nice thought but how would you do it? A voluntary donation? Some sites/services work like this and it ends up that a few people pay for everyone but I guess that's how much of the internet works anyway.

Cheers, John

While we are on the subject should we VR modellers who use his site (and that of Mark Bau) offer to assist in paying the cost for keeping it going??

Am having the same issue here.

As a work around, the actual pages still work, just not the home page. pjv101.net/cd/pages/codelist.htm
