Steam Era Models have today updated their website with news regarding a possible re-run of their R class steam locomotive kits. The locomotive was discontinued after previous stock was depleted in the face of the forthcoming Eureka R class which has been delayed until mid next year.

The model will be available in both the coal fired version and oil fired version, assuming enough demand is met to see their rerun occur. Their pricing has also been adjusted for a more favourable result.

If models are pre-ordered before September 30, with a $200 deposit;

• Coal fired model - $525 plus $10 registered postage
• Oil fired model - $555 plus $10 registered postage

Models will afterwards rise to a price of $550 for coal and $580 for oil, again plus postage.

This could very well be the last run of brass and whitemetal R class kits for quite some time. Be sure to get one while you can.
