KMQ container wagon

Flat wagons for 20' containers were first organised in the 1970s to meet the needs for growing container traffic. They were built utilising the underframes of 15' wheelbase wagons such as U and T vans.

This kit is a Model Etch kit, which makes use of modified SEM side sills and wheels. The rest of the kit consists of styrene and etched brass construction with whitemetal container anchors.

It is first coated in etch primer and then a coat of VR wagon red with weathering applied.
