Hi everyone, haven't posted in quite a long while, but I have been reading. Been too busy working to bother with modelling. However I have been busy in Illustrator creating the artwork to have some VR brass numberplates etched in HO scale.

You can have a looksie here;

http://vr-enthusiast.com/forum_files/fa ... sample.pdf

It has been sent off and is in the process of being manufactured. I should have them here in time for the AMRA exhibition at Caulfield. I haven't yet decided on prices. If they sell well enough I'll use the money to bankroll another set, which will include more numerous d/e numbers, as well as the J, R and D3 class.

Nick, just some constructive comment.
2A was a compound and to my knowledge no kits or commercial models were/are available.
13A which saw a great deal of service and did a considerable amount on the FTG/Gembrook line has never had etched plates available. Even Alco models missed it.

6A also has a variation for the modern number plate, but most would identify with 7A.

This is my photo of 7A on the 50th anniversary of the PBR, 28 July 2012. It has the 1962 plates.

best regards Ron.

Hi Nick,

Are they going to be available by loco or in the frets shown? If in the frets shown a WCR set might be of interest? B61 B65 B76 S300 S302 S311 maybe? (probably no need for B61) Might tempt me into a second WCR B from Auscision if I can easily re-number it!!

Cheers,

Al.

Some nice work on those plates Nick. What is the expected price range for a set?
