It seems that the Auscision blog is almost constantly updating now :)

The BP/BMX/VBPY/D Bogie Box Vans are now available online:

Which means our pre-ordered vans are in the mail.

I've just placed an order for two packs - V/Line Green & White Stripes and V/Line Silver Stripe. Will fit my 1986-1990 period perfectly ! I haven't told my partner that I've bought these - hmmm... will have to sneak these ones through ! ;)

I don't know of any regular workings. The only time I have seen them used is on the steam excursions such as the R711-R766 tour in December 1999 and K183's ill-fated tour to Yarrawonga in 2002. It was more common to see the PCP vans on regular services.

Are the roof sections removable like the narrow door U vans?

If I get any I would have to change the roof as they just look wrong with such a thick cross section. If I can change the roof - like on the U vans where I used 10tho sheet - I may get a pack with the pass bogies and do a bogy swap and some decal-ling to get the variations I am after.

Looking back at the blog post on 24 September 2012 it appears the roof is separate, how easy it is to remove I can't say, my D van is coming with an N Set...

I've just received my two packs this morning. I'm very impressed with the detail and finish on these - Another great model from Auscision :)
