Re: SG Brake Vans

SDS make some really nice NSWGR vans in all applicable eras. I have a few even though I don't model SG. They should have something in their range to suit what you are in need of.

Re: Underway in the Workshops

Well I'm at it again this time on an A class. I'm one that has to have bright headlights just like the prototype. I wasn't happy with the Auscision A class second run headlights and marker light colour so I replaced and upgraded them with more realistic coloured ones and while I was at it I added so...

Re: Powerline AS & BS Cars

I played courier on Friday and picked three up from TW for a friend. Overall they are pretty darn good. There are a few little things like the coupler boxes but they can be fixed with relative ease. I'm not sure about the lettering on the VR blue second car, it has the word SECOND right in the middl...

Re: Underway in the Workshops

Well it is finally finished, I think this has been possibly the longest project I've done. I kept putting it off and into the too hard basket but it is finally done. I'm happy with the results. A little weathering will make it look better as will modifying the sound file to get it to notch up amd do...

Re: Underway in the Workshops

It's been quite a while but here's something I've been working on over the last couple of days. I wasn't happy with the lighting in the Auscision X classes so I have completely gutted mine and gone for broke on it. I have etched new circuit boards and repositioned the speaker from the body to the fu...

Re: Buy, Swap & Sell

You could try Trainworld in Brighton for the X class book, they have a great range of TH books in stock. The other shops you could try are AHRS and Branchline, they also carry a good stock of the books.

Re: Painting etched brass number plates

Hi Jacob, Welcome aboard. I have had a quite a bit to do with painting numberboards as I have done the entire A class fleet now with custom numberboards. I used the old method of painting them white and using black indian ink which works a treat. I have also done some commemorative plaques in green ...
