DSCR Traralgon special with DERMPAV's 58RM

Hi all, On Saturday 23 August 2014, the Daylesford Spa Country Railway chartered DERMPAV's 58RM for a day trip from Melbourne to Traralgon and return for our members and volunteers to enjoy a social day out. It was also the first time since the early 1990's that a DERM had been past Pakenham. Many t...

Re: Underway in the Workshops

A quick touch up of some Southern Rail Models tank cars I got at Caulfield. I painted the walkways black, the back and sides of the BP signs black, the shunters and handrails black, the bogies and wheels black and then dullcote all over. I also added the missing "F" decal in the corners on...

Re: AMRA Vic Branch Exhibition

Overall I thought it was a great exhibition this year. A nice selection of layouts with Orbost and Maryborough being the standouts for me.

I got did a bit of C van shopping for myself and a few mates. The one I got I'm quite happy with other than the roof colour, which a quick repaint will fix up.

Re: Underway in the Workshops

The new roof is certainly much easier. I've been decalling two I got at Sandown earlier today

Re: Underway in the Workshops

Thanks for the comments about the K cars. Matt, do you still want to know how I did it when I tell you I butchered a Powerline S car to get the roof for the BKL? ;)

Re: Underway in the Workshops

I've finally completed my four car K set. The AK and both BK's are BGB kits. At the time I was unable to get a 600/BKL kit, so I simply scratchbuilt BKL3. All cars have working diaphragms which are heavily modified SEM W car diaphragms, the bogies under the AK/500 and BKL/600 car are the rapid proto...

They're flat. Separate number plates but printed rather than etched
